NAMI Collier County has announced its 22nd Annual Hope Shines mental health awareness walk on May 11, during mental health awareness month.

NAMI Collier County has announced its 22nd Annual Hope Shines mental health awareness walk on May 11, during mental health awareness month. The event is also at the end of Teacher Appreciation Week and will recognize the role that teachers play in mental health. This year’s event on the Arthrex campus in Naples will include performances by the Ben Allen Band, team prizes and more. Registration at 1 Arthrex Way, Naples begins at 4 p.m., with activities from 5 to 7 p.m. The event kicks off with family-friendly activities led by Arthrex, welcome music by the Ben Allen Band, followed by a walk through the campus. After the one-mile walk on the Arthrex campus, the band will play a 45-minute set for participants. WINK News anchor Cory Lazar will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies. The fee to register for the event is $35 per person through April 30 and $45 per person after April 30. Teams are encouraged to raise additional funds to help support NAMI. Prizes will be awarded for the most creatively dressed team, largest team and highest fundraising team.
