Southwest Florida Symphony

7500 College Parkway
Ste. 200
Fort Myers, FL 33907

Each year, the Southwest Florida Symphony presents a series of five Masterworks Concerts featuring music from the great symphonic repertoire ranging from the Baroque era through the 21st century. One hour prior to each Masterworks, patrons are invited to attend pre-concert lectures led by the conductor and guest artists. These lectures, which include Q&A opportunities, enhance our patrons’ concert experience by providing insight into the pieces being performed.

The Symphony also presents four Pops Concerts, including a family-oriented Holiday Pops each December, all featuring major entertainers with impressive pedigrees in musical theater. Small Stage Symphonies℠ chamber orchestra programs are presented annually at multiple venues throughout Southwest Florida, with the occasional program being presented in other cities throughout the state.

The organization supports a Youth Orchestra program that includes a full youth symphony, chamber ensembles for more advanced players, a full concert orchestra for intermediate-level players and a string ensemble for beginning players.

Musical ensembles consisting of our professional orchestra musicians present free educational programs in local schools early in the academic year and a free Young People’s concert is presented at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall at the end of each academic year in mid-May.

Each year the Symphony Society, the orchestra’s fundraising auxiliary and largest single donor, hosts a Young Artists Competition with the winner being given the opportunity to perform as soloist with the orchestra. In addition to offering multiple scholarship opportunities to budding musicians, The Symphony Society, which consists of more than 250 volunteers, works tirelessly each concert season hosting multiple fundraising events in support of the orchestra and its programs.

To ensure accessibility to everyone who desires it, the orchestra provides hundreds of free tickets to disadvantaged youth and deeply discounted tickets to teachers and public servants, in addition to $5 tickets to families through the Symphony’s Discovery Club and college Student Rush programs.
