Fun Fall Events This October

Oct 03, 2023 08:00AM ● By Ann Marie O’Phelan

“Join us for a few vibrant events in October as the summer heat gives way to a more pleasant climate,” says Lauren Kurkimilis, Public Information Specialist at the City of Cape Coral. Indeed, the average October temperatures range from about 73 to 83 degrees, so enjoying the outside is more enjoyable than in the summer. And it’s a lot less humid.

October marks this season’s new Food Truck & Vendor Fest and the first Bike Night of the year.

On October 4, the first Wednesday of the month, the Sunset Food Truck & Vendor Fest will be at Four Freedoms Park from 6 pm to 9 pm.  Food lovers will enjoy food trucks, vendors, and a stunning sunset over the peaceful Bimini Basin. This free event repeats itself on November 1; an earlier one was held in September. There will be different food trucks at each upcoming event. It’s great fun for the whole family and a great chance to get out and enjoy Four Freedoms Park—a 3.2-acre Cape Coral Park with a fenced-in playground, a large grassy play area near the basin, and picnic tables. The Park is located one block south of Cape Coral Parkway between Coronado Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard.

The first Cape Bike Night of the season is on Saturday, October 14, from 5 pm to 10 pm at SE 47th Terrace (from Coronado Pkwy to Vincennes Blvd). It’s when South Cape revs up a night of entertainment, food, vendors, and motorcycles—and you don’t have to ride a bike to enjoy Bike Night!  The following two nights will be February 10 and April 13—both Saturdays. For over a decade, this popular event has attracted food, music, and bike lovers from near and far. Guests will enjoy great entertainment from 6 pm to 9 pm, a bike show contest, delicious food, and more—all with no admission. Cape Coral Bike Night ccbikenight.com.

“Don't miss out on the fun and be part of the October excitement in Cape Coral,” Kurkimilis says.
