Cape Coral’s Eagle Skate Park, located next to the William “Bill” Austen Youth Center, is one of the most extensive skate facilities from Tampa to Miami. The Park features nearly 27,000 square feet of ramps, rails, half pipes, street obstacles, and a bowl. Scooter riders, in-line skaters, and bike enthusiasts of all ages can also enjoy the fun.

In addition, participants can cool off outside on picnic tables under the pavilion or inside, where they can also enjoy concessions like hot food items and ice cream from the “Eagle Nest Café,” watch the latest skate contests on a 50” flat screen, and purchase merchandise from the Eagle Pro Shop. On top of it all, the Park boasts a 1,800-watt Bose sound system.

“Our facility provides a safe, supervised, and maintained action sports facility that participants of all ages can enjoy,” says Recreation Specialist Austin O’Brien. Experienced attendants are on duty.

The Eagle Skate Park hosts events throughout the year for participants of all ages, such as the annual National Go Skateboarding Day held recently on June 21st, 2023, and organized by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC). The impressive 180s, kickflips, and heelflips were awesome to experience and check out.

Summer skateboard and scooter camps are now in session, and although full, there is a waiting list for potential openings. In September, skate lessons and scooter lessons begin. Spring Break camp is also available. Plus, the Park also offers E.A.G.L.E.S After School Program, where students can get help students with homework, enjoy group games, participate in recreational activities, and skate for free.

Eagle Skate Park is also a great place to host a birthday party, and there are a few party packages to choose from.

So don’t miss out on the summer fun at the skate park, as it’s a great place to get outdoor exercise and enjoy a place to chill out. (Helmets and parental/legal guardian consent are required before admission. Helmet rentals are available. Children under 18 must have a parent sign their waiver.)
