Meet Mario Bros. world record holder at gaming industry technology event

Registration is open for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership (SWFRTP) TechTalk, “From Pinball to Pong, PlayStation to Professional Gaming, How Technology has Transformed Entertainment.”

Registration is open for the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership (SWFRTP) TechTalk, “From Pinball to Pong, PlayStation to Professional Gaming, How Technology has Transformed Entertainment.” The family friendly event will be August 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Saturn 5 Arcade, Coastland Center Mall, 1900 Tamiami Trail N., Naples. Attendees will receive a complimentary $10 game card to use during the event. Registration is required at www.swfrtp.org and the TechTalk is free to attend. Guests will meet video game superstar, Steven Lee Kleisath who smashed the Mario Bros. world record in 2015 by scoring an astounding 5,424,920 points. In the same year Kleisath was ranked third in the world on Ms. Pac-Man. In addition, gaming industry veterans John Russo Jr., CEO, Apollo Amusements and Bob Schuster Jr., Regional Manager, Apollo Amusements will lead the TechTalk. Topics will include the evolution of gaming machines from mechanical to electrical, how the gaming industry has transformed from arcades featuring games like pinball, Pac-Man, and Centipede, to home entertainment consoles such as Atari, PlayStation, Wii and Xbox and the surging professional gaming tournaments.
