The St Armands Circle Ring of Fame Annual Induction Ceremony

With great pride, the Circus Ring of Fame Foundation, Inc., has revealed the Class of 2018 to be inducted into the famous St. Armands Circle Ring of Fame. Always considered a highlight of the seasonal awards, the ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 13th at 2:00 PM, with a circus band concert featuring sixty musicians known as Windjammers and conducted by Andrew Glover preceding the festivities at 1:15 PM. All events are open to the public and add greatly to Sarasota’s circus heritage. This year’s class includes outstanding Risley artists The Fredonias, UniverSoul Circus founder and owner Cedric Walker, the incomparable polar bear trainer Ursula Böettcher, famous trapeze artists The Ramon España Family– The Flying Españas, and local favorite and clown extraordinaire Chuck “Chucko” Sidlow. Circus Ring of Fame inductee is recognized for their outstanding contributions to the world of circus. On Friday, the 12th of January, the inductees or representatives will be featured on a panel at a meet-and-greet reception at the Showfolks of Sarasota. Again this is open to everyone and offers the public the rare opportunity to visit this unique circus social club. There will be a circus memorabilia flea market, and breakfast will be available. Showfolks of Sarasota is located at 5204 North Lockwood Ridge Road and opens at 9:00 AM with the event planned for 10:00 AM.
