2018 Holocaust Lecture Series: Thank You for the Bomb, Mr. Hitler
In partnership with the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning, Hodges University is presenting the 6th Annual Elliott Katz 2018 Lecture Series. A docent with the Southwest Florida Holocaust Museum in Naples, Florida, Elliott Katz will present a series of six lectures focusing on the Holocaust.
This is the story of European scientists, persecuted and expelled by Nazi Germany, who became indispensable members of the "Manhattan Project," allowing America to build the atom bomb. Learn how the loss of these men and women to Germany's scientific community affected Nazi Germany's ambition to be the first to develop this "super weapon." You will also learn about America's most unusual spy, Major League Baseball's Moe Berg.
Individuals must register to attend. Tickets are $12 per person for each lecture or $60 for the entire series.
