Huge Holiday Hits!

Dec 05, 2023 08:00AM ● By Ann Marie O’Phelan

The Christmas Theatre

Located in the heart of Cape Coral, the Cultural Park Theatre has long been a cornerstone for artistic expression and cultural enrichment, and this holiday season is no different.

On the December stage is "Little Town of Christmas," a family-friendly comedic play with 12 hilarious yuletide skits.  Everybody in "Little Town of Christmas" is loads of fun and laughter. You’ll meet Skeezix and Sylvester, an elf comedy team that is short in stature and long in laughter; Dancer, a reindeer with a whacky sense of humor; Mrs. Claus, the real boss; and a hilarious street corner Santa, who is tested by one tough little kid with a sticky sucker.

Some of the fun includes old favorite stories such as "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "A Christmas Carol," all updated and aimed straight for the funny bone. Also, delightful is a group of wandering carolers who cough and sneeze on cue, three kids trying their best to be wise men, and then there’s a riotous lecture on Christmas etiquette.

“You’re in for a joyful holiday show filled with warmth and laughter,” says Artistic Director Robin Murray

Stu Pepper and George Ringlen who have a wealth of experience in theater, both as directors and actors, are the creative forces behind this production. Musical Director Carrie Guffy actively engages the audience, encouraging them to sing along with the cast during Christmas carols.

“Join us for a family-friendly evening that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit,” says Marketing Director David Hernandez.

“Little Town of Christmas” is on stage at Cultural Park Theatre from December 13-17.
