Spooky Fun in Cape Coral!

Oct 03, 2023 08:00AM ● By Ann Marie O’Phelan

Those looking for great ways to enjoy a safe and sound Halloween are in luck. Cape Coral offers a few events to ensure attendees have a Spooktacular time.

The first one is Cape Coral’s second annual Trunk-or-Treat. This event offers a fun, safe way for children and families to gather as a community to celebrate Halloween and the start of the holiday season.

“Citizens will have a chance to visit trunks that multiple departments across the city have decorated to receive candy while supplies last. This includes Police, Fire, and Public Works, among many other city departments,” explains Kaitlyn Mullen, Sr. Public Information Specialist.

There will be candy giveaways (while supplies last), music, a movie—right on the lawn— at 7 pm, food trucks, and plenty of fun.

The event was introduced last year after Cape Coral was struck by Hurricane Ian.

“Our residents were still picking up the pieces, and we recognized the need to come together as a united community. We had nearly 10,000 people in attendance at City Hall, and it’s one of our staff’s favorite events to participate in,” explains Mullen.

The Trunk or Treat event occurs at Cape Coral’s City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard, on Friday, October 27, from 6 to 8 pm. For more information about this City event and other great things happening in the Cape, visit capecoral.gov/calendar.php

Also, the 14-acre Sunsplash Family Waterpark will celebrate Halloween with Spooky Splash Bash held every weekend in October from 11 am to 6 pm.

The Park will be decked out in spooky décor, and there will be special prizes, food and beverages. October’s last weekend, 28th and 29th, celebrates big with a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, music, and more.

The Waterpark offers a variety of thrills and fun for all. From adventure seekers who like to maximize their experience on speedy slides, terrorizing tunnels, or fun flumes to those looking for a relaxing time in the Main Stream River, Sunsplash offers something for everyone, from children to adults. Free parking. Season passes are available, and they include Spooky Splash Bash passes.
