U.S. Census: Bonita Springs, Fort Myers in the Top 15 Fastest Growing Cities Nationwide

According to official numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau in May, Bonita Springs and Fort Myers are ranked in the top 15 of the fastest growing cities in the entire country.

In a May 24 article by Sheldon Zoldan and Thaddeus Mast of The News-Press, it was reported that Bonita Springs had a 4.80-percent population increase from July 2015 to July 2016, ranking eighth on the list. Fort Myers stands at No. 15 with a 4.5-percent population increase.

Cape Coral was reported, once again, as the largest city in Lee County. Its population was recorded at 179,804, which is a 2.8 percent increase, "year over year," the article states.
